Learn more about Liberia here.
Guaranteed to be an experience of a lifetime, you will grow deeper in your relationship with Christ as you strive to bring hope, healing and restoration to a people group who have been downtrodden by more than a decade of civil war and unrest.
After arriving in the nation’s capital of Monrovia, you will travel 16 hours across rough terrain by Land Cruiser to remote villages where you’ll be exposed to circumstances that stretch and challenge your American comfort zone. Once in the lush, tropical River Gee area, you will have the opportunity to serve the Liberian people in both practical and spiritual ways, as you:
  • Labor alongside nationals to complete construction of Victory Base Camp
  • Serve at the Motherly Day Care Children’s Home through renovation projects
  • Minister one-on-one to orphans to show them the love of Christ
  • Empower the local church to reach out & minister to the people’s spiritual needs
  • Participate in local church services & Bible studies
  • Do whatever it takes to reach out to those in need.
On your free days, you’ll go site seeing and shopping for souvenirs, as well as visit the beach and hike mountains for panoramic views of the Kanweaken village.
If reading this made your heart beat faster, please prayerfully consider joining us in blessing the nation of Liberia & changing their world. In the end, you will be the one abundantly blessed & changed!

Stories From the Field:

"Liberia, Africa. Second time around and the experience has been eye opening, again. Liberia is an incredible country. Full of life, God, opportunity, hurt, frustration, hungry kids, evil, strength, resilience, & tough people. The war has torn this country apart and it has been a slow process trying to piece it back together. I don't know if it will ever get back to what it once was but I know that I'm here for a purpose and I know that we can do some good here. You can feel helpless driving back through the slums looking at all the kids in need but we know God has directed us to Motherly Daycare orphanage so we will serve God and worship him with our hands and our actions. The kids are so cute and are so happy to see us here. We put a new paint job on the exterior and in the kids bedrooms, starting to replace the mosquito nettings & bunk beds tomorrow and new mattresses. Our team has been working hard and diligently all week, God has assembled an incredible group of people and everybody is focused and dedicated to the trip. Continue to pray for us and the work we are doing here. I love this country! :-) God is good!" - Chap/ Victory Church Liberia Missions trip, Nov 2010 by Steve Glick

Tuesday: At 6 a.m. we were all awake and sitting around the table having devotions. After breakfast at 7 a.m., we all piled into the Land Cruiser and traveled to the land CHAP bought for their River Gee project. We walked the perimeter and various trails leading through the property to survey the land in preparation for construction. We dug perk test holes, analyzed soil types, created structural drawings, and brainstormed construction ideas. Finally at midnight, we call it a night. Everyone was beat and ready for a shower and a good night’s rest! – Liberia 6/2009

This has been the best trip to Liberia ever! There was a revival meeting at a local church for four nights and we were able to support the ministry outreach program. – Liberia 6/2009

We began working to clear the land for development. The local men were so grateful for the opportunity to work, that they showed up at daybreak each morning and worked until dark every night. The women on our team had a wonderful experience singing while they worked alongside the Liberian women to cook and wash clothes for the team. – Liberia 11/2009

This trip has by far been the most challenging and rewarding trip I’ve been on! - Liberia 6/2009

We took an extensive trip deep into the interior to Grand Gedeh and River Gee counties, traveling a total of 940 miles. We found that River Gee County is not receiving any kind of aid to help them get re-established after the war. The main reason is the roads are so bad and impassable in most areas.  – Liberia, 4/2006

I've traveled to many places in the world to serve various ministries, and I can assure you that CHAP conducts itself with great integrity, striving at every moment to seek God's will and glorify Him in every way. - Scott Powell, EMI Project Leader

I would highly recommend anyone that is going to Liberia to travel with CHAP International. It will be an experience of a lifetime. – Curt Seaburg, Pastor of Victory Church, Lancaster, PA
