Liberia is a war-torn nation. The war stems from tribal conflicts, mainly between freed American slaves and the native tribal groups. The civil war started in 1989 and lasted until early 2004. Due to this war and the resulting disease, there are thousands of orphan children. CHAP is committed to reaching the small, overlooked orphanages in Liberia.

For just $30 per month, you can clothe, school, house, evangelize and medicate one child. Within four months of completing a commitment card and sending one month's payment, CHAP will assign you to an orphan child. You will receive the name of the child along with a picture of him or her. In addition, CHAP will semiannually send you updates and picutures of your sponsored child.
